I am having some issues with my current provider. All I have is texting, and right now, it's not working with Google Voice. Instead of passing my texts, it's just calling people that I text with a computerized voice. Very annoying, and I have given them 3 weeks to fix the problem, haven't heard anything back yet.
I would really like to go the android route because of the Google Voice and Skype integration, so basically any phone that I get I will have unlimited text, data, and voice with just a data package.
I was thinking of the Nexus One, but I think I have decided on the Motorola Droid for several reasons. First, it's a great phone, lots of features, great build quality. Secondly, Motorola is a US based company, headquartered in Illinois, and I prefer giving my money to a local company.
Best of all, on wirefly, I can get the phone for just about $50, and $70 a month. I might even be able to drop down to a $54 a month plan if the Skype integration works pretty well. Too bad they don't have data only plans, because I really could get by with just the $30 data package.
